In response to popular demand, this page will feature resources to support the Year Sixes as they prepare for the May SATs.
Below are the past papers from May 2016
Below are the sample papers written to support the new style of tests.
The National Tests, know as SATs will take place week commencing 9th May 2016.
There are many ways that you can help your child prepare for the tests. These include, exercising, having a quiet weekend before, going to bed early the night before each test, doing extra work leading up to the week before the test And eating breakfast the day of the tests.
The test papers are different this year in that there is no calculator maths paper.
The spelling, punctuation and grammar paper can be supported by learning the spelling word list further below on this page.

Many parents have asked for support in helping their child with their spelling. Here is a list for words which have been split into separate weeks to make it easier to learn. “Little and often” is a good way to become an effective speller.
The spellings are colour coded to show which words have occurred in SATs spelling tests on one or more occasions! We will not be testing your child formally on these words, but they need to learn them so that they can confidently use them within their written work each day and in the SAT test in May.
Parents: please encourage and support your son or daughter to spend time each evening to practise and learn the new spelling lists week by week.
