Georgina Priddle is our full-time Family Support Worker…
I am here five days a week, and my role is to support you as parents and your children. I know that being a parent is one of the most important jobs in the world, but it can also be one of the toughest as family life can often be challenging and demanding. Sometimes you may feel like you want some extra help, support or advice but you don’t know which way to turn… well I am here to help! My role in school is quite varied and I have a wide range of skills and experience therefore I hope you will find that I will be able to offer you the help and support you need, if not I will be able to signpost you to the right support. I am based in the Inclusion Room at the heart of the school. This is a room for use with parents, children, families and hosts meetings, both formal and informal.
At Stukeley Meadows we work in a non-judgmental way as we know that families come in all shapes and sizes.

Our family support worker is always on hand to have a chat five days a week before and after school.
Every Thursday we have groups running throughout the month with different themes.
The 1st Thursday of the month we run a drop-in and chat session for families whose children have additional needs. This sessions offers parents the chance to meet other parent in a safe environment and enjoy a cup of tea and a chat. This group is also supported each week by the Children’s Centre. The Parent Partnership also come along on a regular basis. Small children welcome.
The 2nd Thursday of the month we run an International morning for families where English may not be their first language. It is a great opportunity to meet new families and have the chances to get involved in school life.
The 3rd Thursday of the month is a drop-in and chat session open to everyone. This is an informal session with different activities going on each time. There is always tea, biscuits and time to relax. There are toys for the children.
The 4th Thursday is a one-to-one drop in for support with forms filling, careers advice, linking to other agencies and internet access.
