Little Acorns Pre-School is open from Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm, term time only. Sessions are held in the Community Room adjacent to Stukeley Meadows Primary School.
Our aim is to provide high quality care and education for children from 2 years 9 months to statutory school age; to work in partnership with parents to help children to learn and develop; to add to the life and well-being of the local community; and to offer children and their parents a service that promotes equality and values diversity.
Our members of staff have many years combined childcare experience and pride themselves in caring for the children whilst also committing to the principle of continuous learning and development. Training is encouraged and through this we ensure the staff are fully acquainted with the very latest approaches to pre-school education.
At Little Acorns, each child is in a safe and stimulating environment; is given generous care and attention because of our ratio of qualified staff to children; has the chance to join in with other children and adults to live, play, work and learn together; is helped to take forward her/his learning and development by being helped to build on what she/he already knows and can do; has a personal key person who makes sure each child makes satisfying progress; is in a pre-school that sees parents as partners in helping each child to learn and develop; is in a pre-school in which parents help to shape the service it offers.
The pre-school is registered with Ofsted, the Pre-School Learning Alliance and the Nursery Education Funding Scheme for Cambridgeshire. It is run by an elected committee of volunteers made up of parents/carers and interested members of the community.
A full prospectus including a registration form can be obtained by visiting Little Acorns in person or by looking on our website.
